Mordoree, Lirac Reine Bois Rouge Brut Zero Subtle wood spice notes highlightI previously reviewed the 1998 Lirac Cuvee de la Reine des Bois prior to bottling, and it is living up to my expectations. It exhibits a dark ruby purple color as well as a moderately intense nose of black fruits, licorice, spice, pepper, and smoke. Displaying moderate tannin with exceptional concentration, it will benefit from 1 2 years of cellaring. It is one of those rare Liracs that will age for 10 15 years.
